Women You Know, Women You Want to Meet

For more than 10 years, an eclectic group of fascinating women has gathered in the Des Moines area on cold winter nights to enjoy a glass of wine and to delight in the pleasure of each other's company.  Community activists, business professionals, political veterans and a political novice or two have found their way to Women You Know, Women You Want to Meet. 

Enjoy an evening with Women You Know, Women You Want to Meet and experience the joy of great conversation with fascinating women from all walks of life.  You will end the evening feeling empowered and uplifted by sharing experiences with women who are making a difference. 

Sign up now for our next event on Thursday, March 27, 2008, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Fort Des Moines Museum and Education Center, an international tourist attraction at Fort Des Moines, Iowa.

The museum and education center honors the U.S. Army's first officer candidate class for African American men in 1917, and the establishment of the first Women's Army Auxillary Corps (WAAC's) in 1942. A proud tradition of excellence and integrity born on a cavalry post at Fort Des Moines, Iowa.  We will have the usual hors d'oeuvres, wine, soft drinks and, of course, delightful conversation! 

Friends invites women outside of the Des Moines area to join us or, even better, to create your own version of Women You Know.  All that is required is a group of women interested in getting together to share an evening of conversation while supporting the Friends.
