The Friends of the Iowa Commission on the Status of Women (Friends) is the not-for-profit organization formed in 1987 to support and assist in the charitable and educational activities of the Iowa Commission on the Status of Women (ICSW).

Through private, tax-deductible donations, Friends enhances the lives of women and girls in Iowa by expanding the work already in progress by the ICSW and by supporting new endeavors.

Plans are underway for the Summit designed to bring individuals and organizations together who support, advocate for or simply strive to help women and girls in Iowa.  The first planning committee took place at the Urbandale Library on June 25.  Participants are excited about the opportunities the Summit will provide for networking, education and collaboration on issues related to women and girls in Iowa.  Check back soon for an update!
